Getting From Central Stellenbosch to Rozendal

From town we take Bird Street and Andringa Street onto Merriman Avenue, past the university. At the roundabouts we carry on straight onto Martinson Road, then turn onto Hendrik Bergh Road into Rozendal. About 4 kilometres, roughly 8 minutes.

Merriman Avenue is the slow bit. Students crossing and campus traffic at the start and end of lectures. So we avoid peak campus times where we can.

Short drive. That leaves the whole morning for loading.

Access and Parking Tips for Rozendal

Get the cars out of the driveway the night before. A sloped driveway with a car in it means we’re carrying from the street, uphill.

Rozendal streets are quiet, but some are narrow with cars parked on the side. Ask a neighbour to leave the kerb outside your gate open.

Moving early on a weekend? Expect cyclists on the way to Jonkershoek. We go slow on those roads.

Pets? Keep them in 1 room or at a friend’s house for the day. Our crew is in and out of the gate all morning.
