Moving Service Kleingeluk

Kleingeluk is a small pocket of townhouses and duplexes tucked into the south side of Die Boord. Quiet cul-de-sacs and lots of internal staircases. Moving here takes a plan.

Eikestad Vervoer is based in Stellenbosch. Kleingeluk is about 2.6 kilometres from the middle of town. 5 or 6 minutes in the truck.

Here’s why people in Kleingeluk call us, and how we get to you.

The Cape Doctor doesn’t care that you’re moving today. Mattresses go in the truck first when the wind is up. And in a duplex, that mattress has to get down the staircase before it even meets the wind.

So we plan for wind as well as stairs. Soft stuff gets covered, and the truck parks as close to the door as the complex allows.

Moving In or Out of Kleingeluk

Most homes here are duplex townhouses and lock-up-and-go simplexes, off Rhodes-Noord Road and Chenin Blanc Street.

Kleingeluk is small. A handful of streets, mostly townhouses, with Dalsig and Die Boord right next door. That’s good news for moving day, because the truck is never far from your front door.

It’s popular with families who want the Die Boord schools close by, and with people who want a place they can lock and leave. Mediclinic Stellenbosch and the Die Boord shops are a short drive away.

Plenty of Kleingeluk homes are rentals, so a lot of moves here land on lease dates. That means month-end, every month.

Moving Services in Kleingeluk

Home Moves

Duplex moves are about the stairs. Beds and wardrobes have to come down a narrow staircase before they go anywhere.

Simplexes are easier, with everything on 1 level. We still plan the loading order, so the boxes don’t end up blocking the couch at the front door.

Our team has decades of experience, so a tight turn on a staircase is normal work for us. We take the big pieces down slowly and wrapped, so the walls stay as clean as the furniture.

And we bring a vehicle big enough for the whole townhouse. 1 trip, no second run.

Furniture Removals

Moving your couch and a bookshelf to a flat near campus? Collecting a dining table and chairs from a seller in Paradyskloof? We’ll do it, as long as there are 2 or more items.

Every piece gets wrapped before it goes on the truck, so it arrives looking the way it left.

Downsizing from a bigger house into a Kleingeluk townhouse? Be honest about what fits. A 3-seater and a 10-seater dining table won’t both fit in a smaller lounge, so sell or store what doesn’t fit before we arrive. That way it only moves once.

Office Moves

Running a business from home, or moving into an office near Die Boord? We do office moves too, desks and computers included.

Pick the day you need to be working again. We’ll work back from there.

Manage a rental in Kleingeluk? We’ll move the furniture between tenants too.

Packing and Wrapping

Packing a duplex takes longer than people think (it’s always the kitchen). Start a week before, 1 room at a time.

Want us to pack? Ask when you call. And at the other end we’ll help place every item in its room, upstairs or down. Just ask.

Pack the upstairs first and stack the boxes near the top of the staircase. It’s faster to carry down than to go hunting in every bedroom.

Pack a night-1 box with the kettle, mugs, chargers and bedding, and keep it in your car.

Why Kleingeluk Residents Choose Eikestad Vervoer

Small complexes have small parking areas. A mover who shows up late keeps your neighbours blocked in for longer. Nobody wants that.

  • An EXACT arrival time, thanks to satellite tracking on our vehicles.
  • Text updates during the move, so you know where things are.
  • Goods insured in transit against collision and fire.
  • Quotes in under 2 minutes, on the phone or on our form.
  • No hidden fees. You see every cost before you book.

That’s why over 100 Stellenbosch families book us each year.

Our crew has decades of experience between them, and tight townhouse staircases are where that shows.

Getting From Central Stellenbosch to Kleingeluk

From town we take Dorp Street to the R44 and head south. At Van Reede Road we turn right into Die Boord, then left onto Rhodes-Noord Road and into Kleingeluk. About 2.6 kilometres, 5 or 6 minutes.

The R44 between Dorp Street and Van Reede Road gets busy at school times, with the Die Boord schools close by. So we time the trip to miss the worst of it.

Moving between Kleingeluk and Dalsig or Die Boord? That’s a few hundred metres. It still gets a proper truck and crew, as long as there are 2 or more items.

Access and Parking Tips for Kleingeluk

Some Kleingeluk streets end in cul-de-sacs, so turning a truck around takes space. Ask your neighbours to keep the end of the street clear for the morning.

Townhouse complex? Check the moving hours in the complex rules, and book the visitor bays if you can.

Got a small garden or a courtyard? Clear the pot plants off the path to the front door. Our crew walks that path dozens of times.

If your complex has a gate guard, tell security the date and time of your move. A guard who knows we’re coming opens up faster.

Measure the staircase if you’re bringing in a king-size bed base or a big couch. Some duplex staircases won’t take it, and it’s better to know before moving day.

Month-end is when leases change over. Book a week ahead at least.
